Jill Westerberg

Ms. Westerberg was born in Bogota, Colombia. She was given the opportunity for a new life here in the United States through adoption and is committed to helping other immigrants navigate and access the same processes that helped stabilize her future. She speaks Spanish fluently.

Background

Ms. Westerberg has a background concentrated in both immigration and veterans’ services. As a law student, Ms. Westerberg interned with the two biggest legal service providers for New York City veterans. As the daughter of two U.S. veterans, Ms. Westerberg is experienced in providing legal services that meet the unique needs of our nation’s servicemen and women and their families.

For the last few years, Ms. Westerberg has represented New York City residents in asylum applications, family petitions, removal defense, U visas, T visas, and adjustment of status and citizenship applications. She brings her extensive socio-political knowledge of the regions of Central and South America to support the individualized service she offers to every client.

Ms. Westerberg is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of New York and is also a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. She sits on the Military Law and Veterans Affairs Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
